Stamps

Now that my DIY invites are almost complete I have started to think about my stamps that I want to use. I personally never thought of this as an issues until my friend Kori got married and then she was obsessed with all thing wedding. So now I have prepared myself for the postage rate change. But I don't think the post office has prepared themselves. I looked on USPS and they have the ugliest stamps available...I can have the forever stamp with the romantic liberty bell

Or how about the flag stamp with the baby poop tan background...

If I were a huge star wars fan I would do this...

I am just hoping they will get the wedding stamp with the new rate together by June.

If they don't have a better stamp option I may just make my own photostamps.com

Soon to be Mrs blah blah

So as I have said before I am not planning on embroidering anything to say Bride or Mrs. blah blah. Not that I don't like the idea or think its cute. I actually think its so cute and I would so it in a heart beat. But I cannot understand the point of having a shirt I could only wear once or twice. I love clothes and I will happily spend a good amount of cash on them if I can justify the purchase. So when I saw this shirt I felt like I could actually justify the purchase. It says "wifey" and I will be a wifey for a long time so it can be worn more than once. And I think I can even make it myself with the left over crystals from my cake topper!

Yummy Food

We hired our caterers about 2 months ago. But the Mister wasn't able to go to the tasting with my dad and I. So thank goodness they were having an open house tasting this weekend. Even though we are almost at the 3 month count down I wanted to get a solid menu in place that way any last minute changes would be that big of a deal. Well god forbid that basketball playoffs are occurring so it was a fight just to get him out the house. (who fights for free food, ugh MEN!) Anyways once we were down there he thoroughly enjoyed them. He loved almost all the food. After his sixth skewer of chicken satay we left. We are having a full dinner menu but here are some pictures of the yummy appetizers.

They're here...

Ah! The BM dresses came in a week early. Holy cow that didn't take long. The girl on the phone said my usher dress was so pretty. I cannot wait to go and get them this weekend. In case you forgot here it is...

My lovely BF Bena has agreed to be my model with shoes and dress! Yippy! So we will have an idea of what everyone will look like soon!

Bridesmaid shoes

Finally they have shoes. I was able to find $15 shoes on Amazon that matches their dresses. Since I am a shoe freak the limitations I had on the shoes were daunting. and sure they are not what I would have loved for them to wear. But its for one day so I will not worry about it. The BM dresses come in next week so I will be able to compare them to the dress then.

Ring my Bell

We have our rings! We went out for a date night and stopped in to our jeweler to get an idea of what we each like. And BAM! I got my ring. We are still debating about his ring. We narrowed it down to 2. Its really all about the width at this point for his ring. He wants something really simple so its between a 4mm and 5mm. I want to get it engraved as well so we will see how that all goes. Oh are you wondering which ring I chose...Sorry you gotta wait until the wedding to see which one is slipped on my finger.

Love hate relationship

So most of this weekend I worked on our invitations. I have a love hate relationship with my invites. I love them because they are exactly what I wanted. I hate them because I rather just paid an extra $200 and had them made by someone else. After about 20 rewrites of the directions, because according to the groom I have no sense of direction. So I allowed him to write them but I would edit them to help them be more user friendly. Finally everything is all printed and ready to go. Now the fun part of assembly...I found double stick tape and craft adhesive is the best way to go. My paper is so heavy that I wanted the extra step. I must say they are so pretty. My current pride and joy are the return envelopes. Rather than labels I just printed directly on them. I don't know why but to me they look so professionally done. Here is a sneak peek of what I have been up to.

veils

Looking at Bam picture below reminded me of my veil situation. I want it to be long and fab! The groom thinks they make a the bride look like a ghost. So we have come to a happy compromise. I will get to wear my veil of my choice. I just won't have a blusher over my face. OK it isn't really a comprise since I never planned on having a blusher but he doesn't need to know that! This is the look I think I want...what do you think?

Reality wedding

It is no secret that I love reality tv. So I don't find it odd that I really like reality shows that are wedding related. Last week I was watching Bam unholy union and I was so happy to see unlike his normal self he was serious and respectful of the ceremony. Did any of you watch it?

Rehearsal Birthday

So my birthday is fast approaching. 2 days and counting. Originally I didn't want to have a grand to do like i have in years past. With random wedding things going on I didn't think I had a party in me. Thankfully that moment of insanity passed by and I decided to throw myself my tradition party. But while I was thinking of places I wanted to have my party I also started to thing about our rehearsal dinner. I think where I wanted to have it. Mostly because we want to keep it casual but not tacky. Any suggestions?
